Four of the Most Common Job Interview QuestionsFor those of us who have worked in various positions in several fields, we know that many of the job interview questions we will be asked are universal. Your interview may give you a scenario that involves dealing with an irate coworker or perhaps a customer. The interviewer wants to ascertain your ability to think on your feet while still keeping the best interests of both the company and the customer uppermost in your mind. Coming up with a plausible solution that defuses a negative situation will certainly increase your chances of getting the job. Finally, be prepared to hear one of the oldest job interview questions ever invented. Your interviewer may look you square in the eye and ask, "If you were sitting in my place, would you hire the person sitting in your chair?" This is designed not only to check your confidence level but also to see if you are rattled by having to suddenly think in a completely different way. Return the steady gaze of your interviewer and affirm that you most certainly would. Job interview questions will always vary somewhat from one position to another. Still, if you are prepared to respond effectively to these core questions, you are well on your way to a successful interview.
